This site, eugenesiew.com, is operated by Alongside LLC from California, United States. This page explains what the site collects, how it is used, who else it reaches, and how long it is kept. It also explains how to ask to see, correct, or delete what is held about you.

What is collected, and where

Information is collected only where you enter it, plus a small amount of plain visit data described under analytics below.

When you book a session

  • Your name, email address, and time zone.
  • The session date and time you choose, and any pre-call notes you write.
  • How you arrived at the site: the referring page, the landing page, and any campaign tags in the link.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe, which holds your card details; the site keeps only the Stripe reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded, not your full card number.
  • The agreement you sign records your typed name as an electronic signature, along with the date, time, and IP address at the moment you sign.
  • A Zoom meeting is created for the session, and your name appears in the meeting title.

When you take the Mirror

  • Your first name and email address.
  • Your answers, including your scores and the two written responses the questionnaire asks for.
  • How you arrived at the site: the referring page and any campaign tags.

When you send an inquiry

  • Your first name and email address.
  • The context you write in your message.
  • How you arrived at the site: the referring page and any campaign tags.

When you visit (analytics)

Analytics here uses no cookies, no login, and no tracking across other sites. Each visit records a one-way hashed visitor marker that changes every day, the page path, the referring site, a coarse country, and any campaign tags. Your IP address and browser details are not stored; the daily marker is derived from them and cannot be reversed back to you.

To keep the forms safe

To prevent abuse of the public forms, your IP address is held briefly to count requests, then discarded within 24 hours.

Who else handles your information

A few trusted services carry out specific jobs, and each receives only what it needs.

  • Stripe processes payments.
  • Resend sends the email the site needs to send you: confirmations, reminders, and your session link.
  • Zoom creates the meeting for your session, where your name appears in the meeting title.
  • Supabase is the database where the information above is stored.
  • Netlify hosts the site and runs its functions.
  • Apple iCloud calendar is read-only. The site checks busy times on Eugene's own calendar to offer you open slots, and nothing about you is sent to iCloud.

Your information is not sold, and the site carries no advertising or social-media tracking.

How long it is kept

  • Mirror responses and inquiry messages are kept for 24 months, then deleted automatically on a scheduled purge. If you ask sooner, they are deleted on request.
  • Analytics records are removed after 12 months; only aggregate counts, which identify no one, are kept beyond that.
  • Booking, payment, and signed-agreement records (including the IP address recorded at signing) are kept for the length of our work together and for a limited period afterward, set by law. A claim on a written contract can be brought for four years in California, and records that show income can be reviewed for tax for up to six years. After those periods, they are deleted on request.

A deletion request is honored at any time. Financial and signed-agreement records may be held until that legal period ends.

Your choices

You can ask to see what is held about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to eugene@eugenesiew.com, and the request will be answered within 30 days.

Do Not Track

Because the site does not track you across other sites, it treats every visitor the same whether or not the browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. Analytics stays cookieless and one-way hashed either way.
